When Jacques de Molay, the last Grandmaster of the Knights Templar, was burned at the stake in Paris in 1314, he is said to have cursed the Pope and the King. And both of them actually died within the next year. Since the order of the Knights Templar is very present in popculture, the story of the curse as survived up until today. And most people don't know about its real origin. So time to debunk it.
