The Templar Cross – Not what you think

Everyone knows the Knights Templar. Noone seems to know about the most famous of their signs, however: the red cross. We are exploring the meaning of the Cross, the reasons for it being red and what the members of Order of the Knights Templar associated with it themselves. You will learn about the concept of martyrdom and sacrifice, about the idea of imitatio christi in the middle ages as well as what all of this has to do with one of the most favourite books of the bible in the middle ages: the revelation of St. John. / Apocalypse.
